It said the new lever hoists are ideal for a variety of material handling and industrial applications, including maintenance and repairs, utilities, oil refineries, steel mills and foundries, shipbuilding and general construction.

The SLB unit consists of five models with rated capacities ranging from three quarters to 6 US tons. It added: "The new hoists meet or exceed all regional safety requirements, are CE-certified and provide many new features and benefits to the operator."

The hoists are designed for easier operation. The deep lug knobs and double reduction gearing allow for one-handed operation with minimal handle effort. Ingersoll Rand said: "Double chain guides ensure proper load chain tracking and smooth operation around the load sheave. The SLB Silver Series also features a 360-degree handle and stroke design, optimal in tight spaces."

The premium-grade alloy load chain and hardened swivel-latch hooks provide additional durability and increased operator safety, while the automatic inertia brake minimizes operator error when a load is applied in free-chain mode. The nickel- and chrome-plated exterior and zinc-plated frame protects hoists from corrosion.

The encased and retained roller bearings and open-frame design of the new hoists also makes maintenance easier, allowing operators to clean and inspect with increased efficiency and minimal hassle.
