The compact unit can be configured to trigger an alarm and/or stop hoisting activity when an overload is detected. SAF-LIFT requires only 5.5in of headroom on the wire rope and is simple to install as original equipment or as a field modification.
SAF-LIFT is factory calibrated for up to 10,000lbs per line (up to 40,000lbs at the hook in a typical four-fall configuration). The device can be supplied to accept wire rope up to 0.75in diameter.
Units are fabricated from aluminum and stainless steel to resist corrosion and the micro switch is supplied in a NEMA 12 die cast zinc enclosure.
