Hoist UK has completed the supply and installation of a freestanding jib crane at an undisclosed client’s facility, intended to support safer and more efficient manual handling operations.
The company states that the equipment provides a tailored lifting solution designed to meet specific operational needs and enhance workplace productivity.
The installed jib crane features a rated capacity of 125kg, a span of 2.5m, and a height under the beam of 4m.
According to Hoist UK, the crane operates via a manual slew mechanism and is equipped with a Verlinde VX electric chain hoist mounted on a push travel trolley.
The company indicated that the introduction of the crane enables more reliable load handling in targeted areas of the facility, reducing the amount of manual lifting required and supporting operator safety.
The firm said: “Another great example of Hoist UK’s ability to design, supply and install lifting solutions tailored to our customers’ individual requirements.”
Hoist UK began operations in 2006, founded by Tony Dickson and Paul Jordan, initially as a distributor of the French brand Verlinde’s lifting equipment in the UK market.
The company now offers design, manufacturing, and installation of lifting and handling systems for industrial and entertainment sectors.
Its services include overhead crane systems, electric chain hoists, performer winches and shackles, and related equipment.
Hoist UK offers an end-to-end service, from initial technical consultation through to delivery and installation.
The company serves customers across the UK and internationally, delivering lifting and handling projects to a range of market sectors.
In November 2025, Hoist UK formed a partnership with ERIKKILA, a manufacturer of industrial lifting equipment, to supply light crane systems and related equipment to the UK market.
The agreement aims to improve access to ERIKKILA’s range of ergonomic lifting and handling products, including light crane systems and jib cranes.
