Granada Cranes will deliver service and maintenance support for lifting equipment at Airbus UK sites in Broughton and Filton under a multi-year contract.

The agreement requires Granada Cranes to provide inspection services, ongoing maintenance, and technical support for key equipment operations at these locations.

Dedicated on-site teams from Granada Cranes will use diagnostic technologies and develop maintenance strategies aimed at reducing downtime and extending the operational life of the equipment.

The contract expands Granada Cranes’ activity in the industrial engineering sector and demonstrates its capabilities in large-scale service provision.

Terms of the arrangement align with Airbus’ operational requirements.

Granada Cranes managing director Mark Sidwell said: “This contract represents a major achievement for our team and reinforces our position as a trusted partner in the aerospace sector.

“We are honoured to support Airbus in the UK with a tailored maintenance programme that ensures the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and performance.”

Airbus UK operates as a subsidiary of the European aerospace group Airbus.

The company focuses on producing wings for Airbus aircraft and manages three main facilities involved in the design and manufacture of wings for all Airbus models.

The company’s engineering, design, and certain manufacturing activities take place at Filton, while Broughton handles the manufacture of other major wing components and all wing assembly.

This development enhances Granada Cranes’ relationship with clients in high-technology and engineering environments.

Granada Cranes supplies maintenance, servicing, and engineering services to multiple industries across the UK.

The company holds contracts within the aerospace, manufacturing, and energy sectors.

In February, Granada Cranes installed a new overhead crane at Innovative Glass Solutions’ facility in Uxbridge, Middlesex.
