Durham Lifting has completed the installation and commissioning of a free-standing cantilever I-beam jib crane, fitted with an electric chain hoist, at a client facility.
The crane is specified for a 500kg safe working load and features a 290° slewing range.
Engineers integrated the system using a reinforced base plate and specialist anchor fixings to maintain structural integrity with the existing concrete substrate.
Durham Lifting, in a LinkedIn post, said: “At Durham Lifting, we don’t just deliver equipment — we deliver complete lifting solutions from design through to installation and testing.”
In February this year, the company augmented its hire fleet with the Multisec Multi-Point 34T Heavy Lifting Beam.
This beam is engineered for tasks requiring a 34t load capacity and a span of 10.5m, offering applicability across construction, manufacturing, and offshore projects where multi-point lifting configurations are required.
The deployment adds to Durham Lifting’s inventory, which includes spreader beams, corner units, and the Multi-Point system, covering capacities from 13t to 600t.
Durham Lifting reports continued investment in expanding its fleet to ensure availability of current lifting technologies.
Its portfolio supports projects in offshore wind, rail, manufacturing, and construction sectors, utilising more than 25 years of operational experience.
The company states that its operational methodology prioritises engineering standards and compliance at each stage.
