The cranes will both be CXTD double girder models of 35t capacity with spans of 33.557m with an M6 duty classification. They will be operated by a master/slave radio for tandem control and will have anti-collision fitted on the long travel.
Both long and cross travel will have two step limit switches to ensure safe working. DynA invertor variable speed control systems will feature on all motions.
The hoists will be two speed control, and they will be fitted with ControLPro condition monitors. Konecranes said this monitors the crane throughout its lifetime, thus allowing maintenance duties to be planned to suit the actual duty of the crane and provide protection against overload, overheating and detect hoist brake wear prior to failure.
The order, worth over £160,000 (nearly Euros 238,000), was delivered in August.
