Trumbull, who began his career at Owens-Illinois in 1972, is the ninth member of the company’s board of directors, which includes eight independent directors.
Trumbull will serve on the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee and will stand for ratification at the company’s annual shareholder meeting in July 2014.
