UK-based Chesterfield Crane has manufactured and installed a double girder overhead crane for AMG Chrome’s site in Rotherham, England.
The overhead crane, which uses a kit supplied by GH Cranes & Components, spans 24m and has a capacity of 5t.
It aims to meet the lifting requirements of AMG and support its ongoing site expansion activities, stated the company.
Chesterfield Crane managed the project in collaboration with Altida, meeting AMG Chrome’s standards for health and safety throughout installation.
The work was completed within the agreed timeframe and budget.
AMG Chrome project engineer Ben Woods said: “Despite our site not being fully ready during the initial visit, Chesterfield Cranes were very accommodating and returned to complete the project without any issues. Their engineers were very helpful, professional, and easy to work with. The crane went up effortlessly, and the overall installation process was excellent.”
