The standard speed of movement of the new hoist is 4m/min and it can be used as either a stationary hoist or a climber. Since it employs a direct drive, only one cable is needed to link the control/power packs and the hoist.
The new rigging lift has a “particularly compact construction,” according to the manufacturer, and weighs just 40kg without the lift (with a 24m chain between 35 and 40kg). A BGV D8plus version is currently in the pipeline.
