BG Levage has completed the installation of a wall-mounted jib crane with a 1,500kg capacity at an undisclosed client’s site in France.
The project involved equipment designed by Comege, a French manufacturer of lifting products.
The crane’s boom extends 8m and was supplied with an electric chain hoist from Donati Sollevamenti.
BG Levage conducted the installation and testing, partnering with specialist firms for various parts of the process.
Constructions Métalliques Bourbonnaises was responsible for the support calculation note, while Apave contributed to commissioning and testing activity.
The project also included a frequency inverter from Schneider Electric.
BG Levage constructed the electrical control box at its own facility. Commissioning included load tests performed by BG Levage.
The company states that it managed the process from design through to commissioning, with a focus on meeting client requirements for “safety, reliability and performance.”
Comege manufactures a range of lifting equipment including jib cranes, gantry cranes, and spreader beams. The company works alongside specialist lifting equipment firms within France and supports various international businesses.
BG Levage operates from the Saint-Nabord industrial park in the Vosges region and provides installation and maintenance services across the Grand Est region, extending to other parts of France through its network of partners.
The company’s work covers the installation, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of lifting and handling equipment, including modernisation and compliance activities, as well as periodic inspections by approved bodies.
Sales of new and refurbished equipment, replacement parts, and accessories are also offered.
Earlier this month, BG Levage completed the installation of a 5t overhead crane supplied by JASO Industrial Cranes.
The work was conducted by the company’s own teams for a client. The project met established standards for quality and safety, and was finished within the agreed timeframe.
