AkelCrane has supplied four 20t double-girder overhead crane systems to Norden Shipyard in Sluiskil, the Netherlands.
The shipyard, part of Hicri Ercili, took delivery of the equipment to support its ship maintenance and repair operations.
The project covered the entire process, from crane design and manufacturing to on-site delivery and installation.
AkelCrane, a Turkish company with a 2,000m² production facility, delivers cranes and lifting equipment used in several sectors, including critical infrastructure and water treatment projects.
Its management stated that its product development follows a customer-focused approach and uses internationally recognised standards such as FEM, DIN, BS, and EAC.
AkelCrane said: “Every project builds a new reference. Every solution strengthens international trust.”
Norden Shipyard, with nearly a century of history and formerly known as De Schroef, operates from Sas van Gent along the Terneuzen Canal.
The shipyard provides maintenance and repair services to more than 100 vessels and offshore platforms annually.
It offers a broad range of services, including conversion projects, mechanical and electrical work, cleaning, blasting, painting, and work on shaft, propeller, and rudder systems.
AkelCrane’s product range includes ground cranes, crane sets, portal cranes, single- and double-girder overhead cranes, and process cranes.
The company emphasised its use of high-grade materials and precision manufacturing techniques.
In July 2026, AkelCrane supplied and installed a 30t overhead crane system at the SASKİ Samsun Drinking Water Treatment Plant in Tekkeköy, Turkey.
The project comprised the complete process, including design, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the crane system for use in the facility’s operations.
