The mobile inspection service recently went on-site to check the swivel lifting rings of a customer that manufactures plastic parts for the automotive industry and found that one-third of all rings had to be decommissioned as they had become too damaged. The customer ordered new, replacement rings as a result.

LiftEurop technicians can carry out the inspection of accessories – such as slings, lifting rings, hooks, shackles, lifting beams etc. – at a customer’s premises or in LiftEurop’s workshops, which are located in Wiltz, Luxembourg.

When an appointment is made and the technician arrives on-site, the accessories are checked on a test bench installed in a dedicated vehicle, where they can be repaired and put back into service immediately.

The technician marks the date of inspection on the accessory, and provides the customer with a delivery note detailing the work done, an inspection certificate, and an updated maintenance booklet.

Lifting accessories in Luxembourg are subject to regulations that require official, periodic checks of the equipment, which must be carried out at least every 12 months according to European directive 2006/42/EC. LiftEurop says that it accompanies its customers throughout the life cycle of their lifting accessories by carrying out inspections prior to these periodic checks, to ensure the accessories are in order before the visit of the official control body and to allow safe lifting operations.

The company’s mobile service was launched in 2020.

Founded in 2010 and located in Wiltz, LiftEurop produces and distributes the STAS brand of lifting equipment and accessories. It is part of the Alipa Group, a Luxembourg specialist in industrial packaging and lifting.
