UK-based Levate Solutions has completed the installation of an overhead crane system for an aerospace parts manufacturer in Devon, southwest England.

The new equipment features a hoist from Demag Cranes & Components, designed for a safe working load of 4,000kg.

The installation is designed to help the manufacturer manage the heavy, precision lifting required to produce aerospace components.

According to Levate, the system is built to deliver reliable and consistent lifting at specific locations within the facility.

The company said the installation was tailored to the available space and designed to meet the requirements of high-precision operations.

Levate engineers remained on site throughout the project, from initial installation through final commissioning, to ensure the system met the client’s requirements on the first attempt.

The company said: “From first fix to final commissioning, our engineers were on site throughout to make sure the installation was right first time.”

Levate Solutions, based in Shropshire, specialises in manufacturing and installing overhead lifting equipment.

Its product range serves various industries, including galvanising, foundries, automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing.

The firm also designs and implements automated control systems for industrial settings.

Founded by John Davies and Paul Austin, Levate Solutions operates from two locations and maintains a partnership with Demag, an international manufacturer of crane products.

The company highlights its emphasis on technical expertise and the provision of modern material handling solutions.

The recently completed project at the Devon site adds to Levate’s record of supplying lifting systems for industrial clients across multiple sectors.

In June 2026, Levate installed jib cranes at a precision engineering facility, placing the equipment near computer numerical control (CNC) machines.

The cranes allow operators to move components directly at the workstation, supporting CNC machine loading while ensuring the safe handling of high-value parts.
