UK-based Levate Solutions has completed the installation of jib cranes at a precision engineering site, positioning the lifting equipment in close proximity to computer numerical control (CNC) machinery.

The newly installed cranes enable facility staff to handle components directly where they’re needed, supporting CNC loading operations and ensuring the safe transfer of high-value items.

The decision to deploy jib cranes at the site was made to address challenges where the use of overhead systems was not practical.

This setup enhances localised lifting and supports increased material handling efficiency in specialist work environments.

Levate selected a Demag DC chain hoist for integration with the crane, providing reliable lifting capability as part of the overall equipment setup.

Demag Cranes said: “Demag official country partner Levate Solutions realised a lifting solution with a jib crane and a Demag DC chain hoist as the choice of hoist.”

Headquartered in Shropshire, Levate Solutions manufactures and installs a broad spectrum of overhead lifting equipment for sectors including galvanising, foundries, automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing.

The company also engineers automated control systems tailored to industrial applications.

Levate Solutions was founded by John Davies and Paul Austin, who brought extensive engineering experience to the business.

Operating from two locations, the firm has a partnership with international manufacturer Demag and remains focused on advancing material handling operations through technical expertise and modern solutions.

In April, Levate Solutions completed the construction of a custom overhead crane for Manchester Galvanizing in Heywood, Manchester. The process included design, fabrication, electrical assembly and internal testing.
