Cranemech, a company based in Ängelholm, Sweden, has completed the installation of an Erikkila column-mounted steel jib crane with a 250kg lifting capacity for a client in Sweden.
The recently installed equipment features a 5m boom and a 4m lifting height, supporting daily material-handling requirements.
The crane is equipped with a universal slewing limit device, allowing the working area to be adjusted and set to suit the available space and specific application requirements.
According to Cranemech, this feature allows for precise definition of the crane’s operational range.
The company stated that the solution is designed to support ergonomic and efficient handling in the workplace.
Erikkila said: “A great example of how the right lifting solution can improve safety, ergonomics, and productivity in material handling.”
Founded in 1998, Cranemech operates a head office in Ängelholm and a branch in Gothenburg, each with offices, workshops, and warehouse facilities.
Since 2022, Cranemech has partnered with Danish company Fyns Kran Udstyr, and the two companies market products under the shared WEDOLIFTING brand.
Cranemech’s services include the sale and installation of lifting equipment along with assembly, disassembly, repairs, upgrades, and inspections.
The company notes that its technicians hold certifications including Overhead Crane Operator, Lift, Truck, Hot Work, and Fall Protection.
The supplier of the crane, Erikkila, is involved in the innovation, manufacturing, sales, and servicing of light cranes, jib cranes, and portal cranes for industrial use.
Erikkila is part of Kito Crosby. The company highlights its focus on delivering “high-quality, safe, and user-friendly products that meet strict environmental standards.”
Cranemech serves a range of well-known companies and says it takes full responsibility for projects from initial design and delivery to installation, operator training, and ongoing service agreements.
In March 2025, Kito Crosby launched an updated version of its Kito Erikkila jib crane series, developed to improve performance and operational efficiency. The revised range is intended to meet increasing customer demand, with an emphasis on safety, simplified installation, and cost efficiency.
