JF Electrical Engineering (JFEE) has completed the replacement of a 2t safe working load (SWL) runway beam for a client’s customer.
The company replaced the beam due to wear concerns identified along the track.
Operators continued to use the facility during the works, as the engineering team carried out the project with limited impact on site activities.
JFEE said: “We recently replaced a 2t SWL runway beam for one of our client’s customers, due to various wear issues along the track.
“All works were carried out safely and efficiently with minimal disruption to site operations.”
JFEE, based in Sheffield, carries out a range of engineering services within the overhead crane industry.
Its engineers manage breakdowns, routine servicing, inspections, installations, hoist conversions, and upgrades to wireless remote controls.
The firm also completes electrical panel builds, preventative maintenance, refurbishments, and new equipment installations.
Additionally, the company performs statutory LOLER inspections, maintenance, and repairs to help industrial and commercial clients maintain operational continuity.
The company states it addresses a variety of client needs related to lifting equipment, offering technical support and timely response to equipment issues.
Engineers apply procedures focused on site safety and compliance with established industry requirements.
In April, JFEE repaired a 16t Demag hoist by replacing a faulty micro brake and readjusting the main brake.
The intervention restored the hoist to working condition and enabled ongoing use in accordance with safety standards.
