A UK-based contractor selected Hoist & Winch to deliver a two-phase hoisting system for the construction of a new high-speed flour mill.
The company supplied and installed equipment designed to facilitate both the initial lifting needs during plant construction and long-term maintenance requirements after commissioning.
During the first phase, contractors used a high-capacity hoist to move heavy process machinery through a dedicated lift shaft.
Following plant installation, the firm provided a permanent high-speed hoist to support ongoing routine maintenance at the milling facility.
Hoist & Winch completed the project after meetings with plant designers and project managers to assess specific site requirements and operational demands.
The company recommended a comprehensive lifting package tailored for both installation and future servicing activities.
Hoist & Winch director Stephen Hargreaves said: “Following site meetings and consultations with plant designers and project managers from the main contractor, Hoist & Winch proposed a turnkey lifting package that could meet both requirements.”
Headquartered in Alcester, Warwickshire, Hoist & Winch operates across the UK and serves several export markets, including the Middle East, Africa, South America and Europe.
The company supplies, installs, services, repairs and rents lifting equipment, including hoists, winches and cranes, for industries such as construction, cement, chemicals, offshore and marine, mining, and tunnelling.
