Chinese crane manufacturer DGCrane has successfully delivered overhead cranes with capacities of five tons and 15 tons to a workshop in Ethiopia.
The 5-ton crane is a single girder model, LD, featuring a span of 14m and a lifting height of 5m. It operates under a work duty of A3 and uses a power source of 380V/50Hz/3Ph, with pendant control. Meanwhile, the 15-ton crane is a double girder model, LH, with identical span and lifting height specifications, sharing the same power and control features.
The partnership between DGCrane and the Ethiopian client began in 2016, involving several project discussions over the years.
DGCrane, in a LinkedIn post, said: “Over the past nine years, we’ve explored multiple project opportunities together, and this time, the collaboration finally came to fruition.
“Upon receiving the layout drawings of the newly planned workshop, we promptly provided a tailored solution on the same day. After a thorough review by the client’s team, it took over a year to officially confirm the order.
“Though the journey from initial contact to final cooperation was long, we remain committed to offering professional support and reliable service at every stage.”
In a separate project earlier this month, DGCrane installed a seven-tonne single girder gantry crane in Tanzania. This crane, with a 27m span and a 5.8m lifting height, was engineered to address the workshop’s structural challenges, such as the lack of steel columns and runway beams.
