Industrial Scale & Measurement (ISM), a US-based provider of industrial weighing solutions, has introduced the MSI-4300 Port-A-Weigh Plus Digital Crane Scale.

The product is designed for medium to heavy-capacity overhead weighing, suitable for use in fishing, marine, and industrial crane applications.

The MSI-4300 features a six-digit, 1.6-inch backlit LCD display that enhances visibility in various lighting conditions. It includes a top lifting eye or shackle and a bottom thrust bearing swivel hook, ensuring versatility in lifting operations.

The Digital Crane Scale is powered by a 12-volt rechargeable battery and comes with a universal battery charger compatible with 115/230 VAC and 50/60 Hz, with a standard North American plug.

The Port-A-Weigh Plus is equipped with full digital calibration and self-diagnostic circuitry, facilitating easy maintenance and extended product life.

Its electronics are securely housed in a NEMA 4/IP66 enclosure, providing watertight integrity suitable for washdown and marine environments. The scale is designed for heavy-duty applications across various industrial settings.

The scale’s specifications include an accuracy of +(0.1% +1 d) of the applied load and a resolution ranging from 3,000 to 5,000d, with options up to 10,000d. The enclosure is made from marine-grade 356 alloy anodised cast aluminium.

The lifting components include a Crosby or equivalent top lifting eye, shackle, and a 360° thrust-bearing swivel hook. The design overload is rated at 200% safe and 500% ultimate.

Key functions of the scale include POWER, ZERO, NET/GROSS, TARE, and programmable TEST/USER. The display consists of a six-digit upper LCD and an eight-digit lower LCD, with adjustable contrast.

Users can select displayable units in pounds, kilograms, tons, and metric tons. The scale operates for 300 hours on a typical charge, with an operating temperature range of 5°F to 122°F (-15°C to 50°C). Filtering options are selectable between OFF, LO, Medium, and HI.

The product has received approvals from NTEP CC 92-176 and Measurement Canada AM-4984.
