Lootah Lemmens, headquartered in the UAE, has announced that its 10-ton overhead crane is now operational at a local warehouse.
The crane system integrates a hoist unit from VERLINDE Lifting Equipment, ensuring dependable lifting capabilities. It also features a remote control by Tele Radio Group, which allows operators to manage loads safely and effectively from a distance.
The entire process, from design to assembly and testing, was executed by Lootah Lemmens’ in-house team.
The crane is designed to enhance productivity by enabling the smooth and secure movement of heavy loads, thereby reducing downtime. This is particularly significant in industries such as metal production, where handling substantial materials is a daily task.
The project comprises a double girder overhead crane with a 10-ton safe working load capacity, tailored for internal logistics and material handling within the facility. The remote control system from Tele Radio ensures precise and safe operations, allowing operators to manage movements from a safe distance, thus mitigating risks.
Double girder overhead cranes offer stability and optimised headroom, making them suitable for facilities with low ceilings. These cranes are constructed for heavy industrial use, providing a long service life and dependable performance for lifting components like steel plates and structural beams.
The Tele Radio remote system enhances safety and efficiency with features such as remote operation, precise control through stepless speed adjustments, and anti-interference technology. An emergency stop function allows for immediate shutdown during unexpected incidents.
The cranes are made from high-quality materials, and their installation was completed by a skilled team within a strict timeline to minimise disruption to the client’s operations. The installation process included mounting the double girders, installing the trolley and KITO hoist unit, configuring control systems, and conducting load testing and functional checks. Operators received hands-on training for safe and efficient crane operation.
To ensure long-term reliability, the crane is supported by a five-year maintenance contract. This includes annual inspections in accordance with international standards, preventive maintenance, rapid response for emergency breakdowns, and spare parts availability to minimise potential downtime.
