Tractel’s Griphoist division has launched its Dynafor LLX-TR radio/wireless load cell onto the North American market.

The LLX-TR, already available in Europe, allows the operator to view the read-out from a remote location. A printer-receiver and computer interface are also available so that the readings are automatically printed and saved for future use. It can be used on up to eight units together.

While remote read-outs are more usually connected by cable, wireless crane scales are not new – Intercomp has offered one for more than 10 years and is now completing its fourth generation telemetry design for these products. Eilon also offers them.

Tractel’s LLX-TR is an enhancement of the Dynafor LLX series with capacities ranging from 227kg to 227t.

Tractel is also now offering the North American market its Minifor TR-50, a lightweight wire rope hoist with a lift/pull capacity of just 450kg. Like the Dynafor LLX-TR, this was previously only available in Europe.

Totally new from Tractel, and completing the Dynafor product line, is the LLZ series crane scale which is an economical digital display for lower capacities and provides an alternative to mechanical dynamometers, the company says.
