Zelus Material Handling revealed the completion of their latest project, featuring two 16-ton, outdoor-rated double girder overhead cranes.
These cranes are now set to enhance operations by moving massive precast elements with precision and reliability. Engineered for performance and installed with care, the cranes are backed by Zelus’s commitment to quality.
Zelus, in a LinkedIn post, stated: “From fabrication to final lift, here’s a look at our latest commission coming together.
“Two 16-ton, outdoor-rated double girder overhead cranes now stand ready to move massive precast elements with precision and reliability.
“Engineered for performance. Installed with care. Backed by Zelus.”
Based in Ontario, Zelus specialises in the design, manufacture, and servicing of overhead cranes, monorails, hoists, and jib cranes. The firm’s offerings include customised inspection programmes, preventative maintenance, and operator training designed to ensure safety and reduce repair costs.
As a master distributor for R&M Material Handling, CanStahl, Demag, and GH Cranes, Zelus maintains a substantial inventory of replacement parts to minimise downtime.
Additionally, the company provides safety equipment and accessories for fall protection systems and service overhead doors and dock levelers.
Established in 2002, Zelus focused on creating tailored crane solutions across North America. In July 2012, Jason and Bryan White acquired the company.
The White family also owns Steelway Building Systems and Steelway Material Handling.
Zelus continues to concentrate on delivering customised services that meet specific client needs. Its operations are supported by rigorous inspection programmes and operator training aimed at minimising repairs while ensuring safety.
With ongoing expansion in the material handling sector, Zelus remains committed to upholding quality and customer satisfaction.
Recently, Zelus replaced an ageing crane at an aluminium casting facility in Pickering, Ontario. The new installation features a custom-engineered 25-ton double-girder top-running crane with a 10-ton auxiliary hoist on a single trolley, boosting the facility’s lifting capabilities.
With a 21m span and a lift height of 12.5m, the crane is equipped with variable frequency drive (VFD)-controlled motion and radio remote operation.
