Vinalift has completed the installation of four 5-ton single-girder overhead cranes at Vietwalk’s Song Cong facility in Vietnam.

The cranes are designed to meet specific spatial and operational requirements, providing an efficient lifting solution. The cranes feature a single hook and a runway length of 240m, with a span of 20m and a lifting height of 5m. They operate with a power supply of 400 Volts, 3-phase, 60Hz, and use a control voltage of 48 Volts.

The design follows FEM 1.001 standards, and the cranes are classified under duty class 2m. Remote control and backup pendant options are available for crane operation, suitable for temperatures ranging from 0ºC to +40ºC. The completed crane weighs 5.5 tons.

The lifting speed of the cranes is 5.6/0.56 metres per minute, while the cross-travelling speed is 24/5 metres per minute, and the long travelling speed is 30/5 metres per minute. The hoist model CSM5H12MH is equipped with a 5.5/1 kW lifting motor and a 0.75 kW travelling motor.

Both the lifting and travelling brakes are DC magnet types. Sungdo, Korea, manufactures the hoist, and the travelling motor power is 0.75 kW x 2 pcs.

The travelling inverter is supplied by Mitsubishi and Schneider. Safety devices include an overload limiter, a lifting limit switch, a cross-travelling limit switch, long long-travelling limit switch, and a rotary alarm operation.

The bridge panel features MCCB, Schneider circuit brakes, and the power supply for the hoist is facilitated by a festoon cable. The crane’s power supply type is 3P200A, with a length of 240m.

The crane structure is made from SS400 material, with a deflection girder of 1/1000 and travelling wheels measuring D200mm x 4 pcs. The girder is divided into two parts, connected by bolts for packing in containers. The runway rail consists of a 40x50mm square bar, extending 240 metres across two lines.

In March this year, Vinalift designed, manufactured, and installed a 12.5-ton double girder overhead crane at the Southern Petrochemical Complex Project in Vung Tau City, Vietnam.

The crane, installed in a designated safe area, complies with quality and occupational safety standards and is used for loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment at the petrochemical complex.
