Industrias Velasco Cabrera (VECA), a Spanish supplier of industrial equipment, has installed a 3.2-ton monorail overhead crane at EMASA’s wastewater treatment facility in Málaga, Spain.
This installation was part of a contract awarded to VECA through a public tender process.
The project involved several key tasks, including the fabrication of a custom structure and the installation of the crane without modifying the existing support framework.
VECA also ensured complete electrical connectivity and integrated the crane with the facility’s current control and operating systems.
The installation process adhered to the plant’s conditions, focusing on optimising accessibility and functionality to meet EMASA’s technical specifications.
VECA, in a LinkedIn post, said: “In collaboration with EMASA – Empresa Municipal Aguas de Málaga, we have supplied and installed a 3.2-ton single girder overhead crane in the pre-treatment hall of its treatment plant.
“All this while respecting the operating conditions of the plant as much as possible and optimising both accessibility and functionality. The result: a functional installation that is perfectly aligned with the technical requirements of EMASA.”
Recently, VECA installed a 3,200kg overhead crane, featuring a hoist from Verlinde Lifting Equipment, a French manufacturer, incorporates a modern design with transverse crane rails.
This design choice allows the hoist to move efficiently across different sections of the building, optimising space utilisation.
Additionally, the crane’s electric travel system enhances its mobility and operational efficiency within the facility.
