
Technical Cranes, a Rotherham, UK-based company specialising in overhead crane systems, has completed the installation of a 30.5m span, 12.6-tonne crane with dual 6.3-tonne hoists at Rainham Steel’s facility in Essex.
The project also included a 162m gantry system. This development is part of Rainham Steel’s efforts to enhance its lifting capacity and support ongoing growth at its Scunthorpe site.
Rainham Steel, known for holding over 140,000 tonnes of structural steel products, services markets across the UK, Europe, and globally. The new crane system designed for Rainham Steel was manufactured using GH Cranes kits, with the beam entirely fabricated in-house by Technical Cranes’ team.
