Estonian steel structures company Solid OÜ has expanded its operational capabilities by investing in two modern overhead lifting cranes from Konecranes.
Each crane is capable of lifting up to 10 tonnes individually, and together they can manage loads of up to 20 tonnes. The acquisition allows Solid OÜ to efficiently handle larger and more complex steel structures.
The cranes come equipped with Konecranes’ S-series synthetic rope hoists, featuring advanced technology. The Dyneema synthetic rope is lighter than steel, does not require lubrication, and is designed to be safer and kink-resistant.
The cranes also offer stepless lifting that adjusts to the load, ergonomic radio controls for precise operation, and safety lights.
Additionally, they include optimised systems to reduce wear and improve safety, alongside the TRUCONNECT remote monitoring system that delivers real-time data for performance and maintenance.
Solid OÜ’s production facility, covering 4,300m2, currently operates with four 5-tonne overhead cranes. The new cranes are expected to improve production floor efficiency by up to 10%.
Solid OÜ has maintained a long-term partnership with Konecranes, providing welded steel beams for their overhead cranes in the local market.
The welded beams for Solid OÜ’s new cranes are produced at its Kurna production site, highlighting the company’s dedication to quality and the strong collaboration with Konecranes.
Solid OÜ, in a LinkedIn post, said: “This investment is a testament to our commitment to the future of steel structures production with cutting-edge technology, ensuring our customers receive the best service and product quality available.”
