Taiwan-based testing, inspection and certification company SGS Taiwan has partnered with RiConnect to enhance asset management digitalisation.

RiConnect is a UK-based equipment compliance management platform focused on safety in asset management across various industries.

The collaboration will see SGS implementing BlueSupra and RiConnect software for inspection and calibration workflow management.

Through the digital initiative, SGS Taiwan aims to improve its compliance, traceability, and lifecycle asset management capabilities.

The integration of BlueSupra and RiConnect software is expected to streamline the processes significantly.

SGS Taiwan vice president Jack Kuo said: “We’re partnering with RiConnect to leverage digital trends to address the pain points of industrial clients and fulfil the growing demands of industrial safety management.

“Today, our focus is on innovative ways to deliver business benefits. We offer a network of more than 20 laboratories to serve various industries and will continuously contribute to the economic development of Taiwan in future, through our high professional expertise.

“It is expected that RiConnect’s application in digital platforms and asset management will reduce the inconvenience of manual operations and make troubleshooting more convenient, thereby improving overall operational efficiency.”

RiConnect provides a digital compliance management platform that consolidates regulatory documents, inspection records, and verification reports.

The integration is essential for high-compliance industries, where SGS operates extensively, ensuring enhanced accuracy and efficiency.

The company is focused on improving compliance and traceability in equipment management, with digitalisation as a key priority.

Transitioning to paperless systems would enhance maintenance accuracy, safety checks, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance, while simplifying information sharing.

RiConnect’s solutions, backed by ongoing research and development in RFID technology, were initially designed to meet on-site inspection demands.

SGS, with its extensive global service reach, particularly in Taiwan, has helped to build momentum for these solutions.

Furthermore, RiConnect’s CTSN framework (Compliance, Traceability, Status, Net Zero) is gaining traction, with growing focus on ESG and Digital Product Passport (DPP) initiatives.

BlueSupra supports RFID scanning, anti-counterfeiting, unique identification, and DPP integration, further enhancing its utility in asset management digitalisation.

RiConnect president Steven Hong said: “More than hardware, BlueSupra plays a key role in accelerating product digitalisation and is essential to the success of this digital shift.

“We also hope to leverage SGS’s expertise and influence to promote product value and brand philosophy across more vertical industries and application areas.

“As SGS recognises, BlueSupra and RiConnect are designed as neutral technologies; they are platform-agnostic and open to all industrial users.

“These cases demonstrate product maturity and validate the high scalability and reference value of the SGS-BlueSupra-RiConnect collaboration model, especially suitable for high-risk, high-compliance industries such as oil, gas, and wind energy.”
