KCI Konecranes chief operating officer Matti Ruotsala has been appointed to a new position as senior vice president, strategy and technology. He also remains deputy CEO. Mikko Uhari, currently president, Special Cranes, assumes global responsibility for all crane and component business units, with Pekka Päkkilä, president of Standard Lifting Equipment, reporting to him. In September Arto Juosila will return from China, where he heads up Asia-Pacific operations, to become group vice president, administration and business development. The Asia- Pacific region will then be divided into two parts, with Harry Ollila, currently group vice president, business development, moving to Shanghai to take charge of operations in China, Korea and Japan, and Edward Yakos, managing director of KCI Konecranes Australia, looking after the rest of Southeast Asia-Pacific. Ruotsala, Uhari, Juosila, Ollila and Yakos report to group executive VP Pekka Lundmark, who takes over as president and CEO on 17 June when Stig Gustavson retires and becomes chairman of the board.
