RGM Cranes has supplied three overhead cranes to iCONiCCO as part of a facility expansion in Wellington, Western Cape, through its Cape Town branch.
The delivery includes two dual hoist single-girder cranes, each rated for 5t (2 x 2.5t) with 19m spans, and a single-girder 5t crane with a 6.5m span.
The dual-hoist cranes are designed to improve handling of long steel sections, beams, and plates, and to support top-and-tail lifting, enabling components such as cylinders to be rotated during manufacturing.
These installations correspond with iCONiCCO’s addition of 800m2 to its existing premises.
The company provides turnkey mechanical and engineering services, offering locally produced products for South Africa’s mining industry as well as for export to international markets.
A fourth overhead crane for iCONiCCO is currently under production, continuing RGM Cranes’ involvement in the project.
RGM Cranes said: “Another example of how our team delivers fit-for-purpose lifting solutions tailored to our customers’ operations.”
Founded in 1988, RGM Cranes has operated in Africa for nearly four decades. Its portfolio includes overhead cranes and gantries built to SANS requirements and ISO 9001 quality standards.

The supplier has expanded its operations beyond Africa to the Middle East and the UK.
