The SRH880 has a 12mm diameter shaft and is presented in an 88mm housing with a protection rating of IP68M. It is fully submersible and can operate at a depth of up to two meters. It features a double bearing support with superior shaft strength for increased reliability in heavy-duty applications.
The SRH880 sensor operates from an 8-30Vdc unregulated supply and provides an electrical output over 90°, 180°, 270° or the full 360° range. It is launched with a 10bit microprocessor, a 12bit version is expected to be available later in the year. For ease of configuration, it is available with an analogue (0.5 to 4.5Vdc) or digital (pulse width modulated) signal output and is claimed to be able to be integrated into existing and new equipment simply.
