The order, with a value of about EUR100,000, includes programmable switching amplifiers as well as compression load cells, load pins and graphic consoles.
Hirschmann had already supplied similar systems to the Kaliningrad, Russia-based crane specialist in 2006 for use on gantry cranes in the harbour at St. Petersburg.
The programmable switching amplifiers iVISOR-PSV from the KR‹GER product series of Hirschmann have a Profibus DP interface via which they can be linked directly to the controls of the gantry cranes. In an emergency situation, the amplifier switches off the crane immediately.
Additionally, all load-relevant data can be documented in an Excel-compatible format with the aid of an integrated data logger that can be configured by means of a PC.
