Nucleon Crane, a Chinese crane manufacturer, has dispatched a 10-ton European overhead crane along with two 20-ton transfer carts to a client in Macedonia.

The Macedonian customer required a tailored solution for lifting and material transfer to efficiently manage medium- to heavy-duty loads throughout their production line.

The solution prioritised safety, precision, and operational flexibility. Following detailed technical discussions, the company supplied a 10-ton European-style overhead crane and two 20-ton electric transfer carts.

The overhead crane features a safe working load of 10 tons, a span of 10.75m, and a lifting height of 5.5m. It operates at dual lifting speeds of 0.8 and 5m per minute, with cross and crane travelling speeds ranging from 2 to 20m per minute.

The crane is powered by a 380V, 50Hz, three-phase power supply and can be controlled remotely or via a pendant.

In March this year, Nucleon Crane completed the installation of two 10-ton overhead cranes for a metal fabrication client in Brazil.

The project required the client to reinforce their workshop columns to support stable crane operations and improve load-bearing capacity.

The client purchased two complete cranes, including runway beams and square steel rails.

These cranes have a span of 23.55m, a lifting height of 6.5m, and a double-speed lifting mechanism with speeds of 8.4 and 0.84m per minute.

They also feature adjustable trolley and travel speeds, enhanced by variable frequency drives (VFD) for added flexibility.

The cranes’ technical specifications include a crane travelling speed of 3.6 to 36m per minute, a trolley travelling speed of 2.4 to 24m per minute, and a crane wheel diameter of 250mm.

They operate on a 220V, 60Hz, three-phase power supply and are classified under work group A4, ensuring dependable performance in demanding conditions.
