The crane will be used to offload logs for storage in the yard or fed to the mill, 24 hours a day, on a 180 ft (55m) round track. The crane structure itself will weigh 215 US tons (195t) and 120ft (36.5m) tall.
Installation and two years of maintenance are included in the contract. The crane will be commissioned by May 2006.
