The series is designed for loads up to 5t, with the 1t model initially launched and further capacities to follow in the near future, says SWF. The hoists offer a range of new benefits: the hoist motor features a new 4:1 gear ratio, with redesigned cooling fins providing better cooling to extend the service life of the system; a redesigned limit switch, which can also be used as an operating end switch, is engineered to work in both everyday usage and in extreme conditions; the new chain bag ensures that the chain runs quietly and smoothly, preventing an accumulation of chain; and the compact design and new upper-eye suspension provides an increased lifting height at the same suspension height.
A new brake is also designed to handle 1m cycles, or up to a lifetime with the proper handling, and responds instantly when the power is turned off—the slipping clutch has a larger diameter and additional grooves to improve the cooling effect of the gear oil, and to increase its overall service life. And, with the new suspension bracket, a push or motor trolley can be installed using a special safety pin, with no further tools required.
Alongside the launch of the new hoists, the company is also introducing a new range of electric trolleys, designed for normal headroom and for loads up to 1t and 3.2t. The trolleys have been developed using a combination of new and established construction components, says SWF, to provide easy assembly and adjustments while reducing the overall weight.
