More jobs to go at Konecranes
18 May 2009Konecranes has started statutory negotiations over potential temporary and permanent layoffs within its heavy lifting business in Finland.
Konecranes Heavy Lifting Corporation supplies port cranes and heavy industrial cranes.
The move will see up to 80 permanent staff laid off, and continues the company’s move to adjust its “cost structure and capacity to correspond with the current, weakened market situation and to secure future competitiveness”.
Konecranes has already start negotiations over layoffs at two other operations in Finland, Konecranes Standard Lifting Oy and Konecranes Service Oy.
