Lach Huyen International Port container terminal, an extension of the Port of Haiphong, is currently being expanded, which is why the cargo cranes have been procured.

The Mitsui-Paceco Portainer STS gantry cranes to be delivered have a 65m outreach and can handle large container vessels. Along with the electrified Mitsui- Paceco Transtainer rubber-tyred gantry cranes, they are expected to contribute to the Port of Haiphon’s increased cargo handling capacity.

Mitsui E&S delivered Mitsui-Paceco Portainer and Mitsui-Paceco Transtainer cranes to the Port of Haiphong in 2001 and 2007, respectively, as part of the Japanese government’s Official Development Assistance (ODA). Mitsui E&S said that the customer placed its trust in Mitsui E&S for the new order because of the high quality and low failure rates of the earlier cranes.
