Misr For Modern Cranes is nearing the completion of a significant project in Egypt, involving the production of two overhead cranes, each capable of lifting 25 tons.
The cranes are designated for Sinai Pumping Station No. 12 and 13, part of a national infrastructure initiative led by the main contractor, HAC.
The cranes incorporate locally manufactured main girders and end carriages, complemented by high-performance hoists supplied by Podemcrane.
As the sole representative of Podemcrane in Egypt, Misr For Modern Cranes is overseeing the final stages of finishing before the cranes are delivered and installed on-site.
Misr For Modern Cranes, in a LinkedIn post, said: “We are honoured to contribute to critical infrastructure that supports Egypt’s water sector, combining local manufacturing capabilities with trusted European technology to deliver safe, durable, and efficient lifting solutions.
“A special thanks to our partners at Podemcranes Stoyan Georgiev for their continued support and outstanding collaboration throughout this project.”
In a separate development, a 223.5-ton crane is being installed at the Siberian Chemical Combine in Seversk, Russia, within the Tomsk Region. The crane, with a double-girder design, has a lifting capacity of 280 tons and will be installed at a height of 29.6m. The installation process, anticipated to last six months, requires meticulous precision due to the complex design of the machine room and the crane’s considerable weight and dimensions.
