Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has received an order for a ladle crane and scrap charging crane for new electric arc furnace (EAF) installations at the Feng Hsin Iron & Steel Co of Taiwan.
The ladle crane has hoisting capacity of 200t with the main hoist and 70t with auxiliary and span of 25.5m. The 26m span scrap charging crane lifts 130t with main hoist and 50t on the auxiliary.
Both cranes are equipped with emergency drum brakes and are expected to be delivered in March 2006.
