Applicants are subject to technical audits before full membership is granted and then to a continuing assessment programme.
John Jones, of LTM, said: ‘We have been working on this for over three years and are delighted to achieve full membership of LEEA. We have over 200 man years of lifting equipment experience and lots of knowledge but now we can prove our competence to clients with LEEA certification’
All LTM engineers are now LEEA certified with Test, Examine and Maintain (TEAM) cards. The TEAM scheme is designed to ensure only properly qualified engineers are permitted to test, examine and maintain overhead lifting equipment. TEAM cards are issued to engineers who have passed LEEA’s diploma examination.
