Lonardi moves up at Harrington as Miller goes to Kito Europe

Harrington Hoists has appointed Carlo Lonardi as COO, as current VP of operations Scott Miller crosses the Atlantic to become MD of fellow Kito subsidiary Kito Europe.

Harrington Hoists is a supplier of electric chain and wire rope hoists, air powered hoists, lever hoists, manual hand chain hoists, trolleys, cranes and crane components. Scott Miller, who was vice president of operations of Harrington Hoists, is now managing director of Kito Europe’s operations. Miller began his career with Harrington Hoists in 1986 as a sales representative. He was product sales manager before becoming vice president of operations in 2003. Before joining Harrington Hoists, he was president of the Hoist Manufacturer’s Institute (HMI), an important technical and marketing group for the industry. He has a degree from Shippensburg University. As managing director of Kito Europe, he will work on creating a “client-centric” business. At the same time, Harrington Hoists is appointing a new chief operating officer, Carlo Lonardi. Lonardi began at Harrington Hoists as the eastern division sales manager in 1997 and was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing in 2007. As COO of Harrington Hoists, he will be responsible for increasing overall customer satisfaction as well as optimizing business performance. Harrington Hoists says, “His energy and passion have been instrumental in the continued growth of the company and his dedication to serving their customers is well regarded throughout the industry.” Under the direction of Ned Hunter, chief executive officer of Harrington Hoists and president of Kito Americas, Lonardi will focus on adding more service infrastructure in the regions served.s
