Running from 9.00-2.00, LiftEx 2007 will precede the association’s AGM and dinner dance. Admission is free to visitors and both members and non-members of LEEA are welcome to attend or exhibit.
LiftEx 2007 is focused on factory cranes, hoists, slings, load lifting attachments and accessories, as well as associated training, test, examination and verification services. An exhibition floor plan and booking form are available from the ‘what’s new’ page of www.leea.co.uk or by contacting LEEA by tel: +44 (0)1480 432801 or email: mail@leea.co.uk.
Stands cost £350 for LEEA members and £450 for non-members, excluding VAT.
LEEA chief executive Derrick Bailes said: “The inaugural LiftEx in Harrogate last year proved very successful and I am sure this year’s event will build on that. The lifting industry has always lacked a dedicated exhibition in the UK, so LiftEx offers a unique opportunity for suppliers and buyers to network in a friendly and informal environment.”
Established in 1944 and with a membership that now totals 247 companies covering 503 locations worldwide, LEEA campaigns vigorously for higher standards of safety within the lifting industry. In addition to providing members with training and expert technical advice, the association works closely with organisations such as the UK’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in the preparation of regulations and British, European and international standards.
Member companies include those involved in the manufacture, hire, repair, refurbishment and use of lifting equipment; all are responsible for the test, examination or verification of lifting equipment.
Applicants are subject to an initial technical audit before full membership is granted, and then to a continuing programme of assessments.
