Now extra functions for pi control and ramps have been added with improved analogue input at no extra cost, according to the company. The pi function compares an analogue signal to a set point such as might be found in pump and fan applications. This gives low cost control for levels, pressure or temperature.
There is now an option for S-shaped ramps to achieve gentle starts and stops, ideal for conveyors with discrete products. A full second set of ramps can be held in the inverter memory and selected if products change.
The SMD analogue input has been increased in resolution from 8 to 10bit. This means faster response to signal changes, smoother acceleration and improved speed holding accuracy.
In another new option, CANbus serial communications are possible.
