Germany-based stainless steel components provider Ketten Wälder has announced the launch of new cromox-branded roundsling connectors.

The connectors are specifically designed for the defence sector and other specialised environments needing high-performance lifting components.

Ketten Wälder launched the cromox brand 17 years ago, offering a range of stainless-steel lifting products including chains and hoist trolleys.

The new CRSV line connects synthetic slings to masterlink sub-assemblies.

They are offered in three models, CRSV-08, CRSV-10, and CRSV-13, with capacities of 1.55t, 2.45t, and 3.85t. Users can rig slings 30mm to 50mm wide.

Ketten Wälder CEO Franz Wälder said: “Synthetic rigging equipment and roundslings are ubiquitous in many industries where specialised lifting attachments are a prerequisite.

“The defence sector is just one example, where critical components, like propulsion systems, need to be lifted on vehicle, vessel, and weapon system production lines.

“The CRSV presents a number of natural product advantages – Grade 60 and AISI Duplex material – that suits it directly to cleanroom and demanding environments.”

Building on the cromox CVG series, the range targets customers in roundsling and masterlink applications, offering enhanced performance and versatility.

Each sling assembly can incorporate one to eight CRSV products, similar to chain sling configurations, selected based on working load limits and dimensions.

The connectors feature Grade 60 for higher load limits with reduced size and weight, using AISI 318LN Duplex and AISI 301 materials for strength and corrosion resistance.

The cromox CRSV roundsling connectors will debut at LiftEx 2025, on 18-19 November at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

Ahead of the event, Ketten Wälder is stocking the product across warehouses in Germany, the UK, and the US, with shipments from headquarters already underway.

Wälder said: “While we acknowledge that geo-economic challenges are out there, our concentrated niche approach to markets, aligned with steady development and ongoing investment, continue to put us in a position where we can successfully service our ever-growing customer base.

“These new cromox-branded roundsling connectors are another example of that.”

Earlier this year, Ketten Wälder launched two new cromox-branded stainless-steel turnbuckles specifically designed for cleanrooms and hazardous environments.

The turnbuckles, each with a 1.55-tonne capacity, are said to offer precise alignment even under full load, catering to sectors requiring micro-alignment of loads.
