“JDN believes the Kito range of products compliments their range of air powered hoists and winches and will allow them to offer a wider service to their growing customer base in the UK,” said director Andy Allen in early June.
Kito products are distributed in Germany by Meili, in the Netherlands by Swart, and in Ireland by Farrell O’Brien. As of time of going to press, the French distribution was up for grabs.
“We are now in a process to reevaluate our strategy as well as the distribution network for the entire European market,” Kito executive vice president Yoshio Kito told Hoist. “The agreement with J D Neuhaus is the first step of this process. The French market is also a very important issue for us.” Kito general manager Masaru Hiranuma heads up European operations from Japan.
Kito confirmed that JDN replaces the Glasgow-based PCT Group.
