The terminal is now deploying 17 electric rubber-tired gantry cranes (sometimes referred to as eRTGs). HIT has also launched hybrid RTGs that combine battery power with ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) engines, the report added.
The terminal operator is a member of Hong Kong’s Business Environmental Council and a signatory of the 2006 Clean Air Charter.
