Harrington Hoists has announced a new line of lightweight electric chain hoists, the ED Infinity range, designed for workstation or assembly line use as well as for pick and place operations.

Tailored to fast production environments, the dual-speed hoist’s body is constructed from die-cast aluminium to aid easy transport, installation and storage.

Available in 125lb, 220lb, 250lb, 350lb, 400lb, 525lb and 1,050lb capacities, the single-phase ED Infinity hoist is pendant-controlled.

Each control pendant features easy-access external speed adjustment knobs, protected by a heavy-duty metal-hinged cover to prevent accidental operation.  These knobs allow the operator to customise the high and low hoist speed settings.

Braking on the ED Infinity hoist is controlled using two systems, parent company Kito Cranes’ Weston-style ‘smart’ brake and a regenerative braking system.

A friction clutch is also featured on the hoist to provide over-winding protection, while the load chain itself is heat-treated and nickel-plated.

ED Infinity hoists also feature standard upper limit switches.
