Gorbel hopes the new plant will help them to establish the distribution channels necessary to better serve the Chinese market. It is also hoping the new facility will act as a more efficient means of servicing its many US customers who are expanding their operations into China. The new plant is in addition to its existing manufacturing facilities in Fishers, New York and Pell City, Alabama.

Brian Reh, president, said: “The key word to emphasise here is ‘expansion’. Our North American customers have expanded abroad, so we need to be there to support them. The high service and quality levels that we will forever strive for in North America also have a place in China.”
