Durham Lifting enhances testing capabilities with new 3,000t test bed
7 June 2023Durham Lifting, a UK-based provider of lifting and testing solutions, has recently invested in its testing capabilities with the acquisition of a 3,000t test bed.
The test bed is a modular test machine capable of conducting both compression and tension tests. It allows for a wide range of tests to be carried out, from link plates, slings and chains to sheaves, trunnions, and various other types of equipment.
Durham Lifting can design and fabricate holding tools specifically tailored to the test bed and the equipment being tested. This, it said, ensures that it can provide the best possible testing solution for its clients, “meeting their unique requirements with precision and accuracy”.
The new test bed is the latest addition to a range of testing equipment. “Whether you need to test a single component or an entire system, Durham Lifting has the expertise and equipment to get the job done right,” the company said.
It added: “The test machines are regularly calibrated and maintained to ensure that they provide accurate and reliable results every time.”
The company said the new addition is an important step towards continuing to meet and exceed clients' expectations.
