China-based overhead crane manufacturer DGCrane has successfully exported a 3-ton overhead crane, complete with a steel structure, to Kenya.
The crane features a Euro-type wire rope electric hoist, with a lifting height of five metres and a span length of 9.2 metres.
It is designed for efficiency, offering a main lifting speed of 5/0.8 metres per minute and a crane travelling speed of three to 30 metres per minute.
The transaction began on 28 February 2025, when an Indian businessman operating in Kenya sought a high-performance indoor crane for handling injection moulding dies.
DGCrane recommended their three-ton HD European-type single girder overhead crane, which aligns with the A5 duty group classification
The overhead crane is suitable for the customer’s operational needs and environment.
Following weeks of detailed communication to finalise technical specifications, the customer confirmed the order in April 2025.
DGCrane then provided production drawings for approval before commencing manufacturing.
The crane and its steel structure were packed into a 40GP container, ready for shipping, which the customer arranged independently.
The cargo was collected on 29 June 2025, with all required documentation and lifting instructions prepared to ensure a seamless delivery and installation process.
DGCrane offers tailored solutions for various crane types, including overhead, gantry, and port cranes, with a focus on quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
Recently, DGCrane has delivered two overhead cranes with capacities of five tons and 15 tons to a workshop in Ethiopia.
The 5-ton crane is a single-girder model, LD, featuring a span of 14m and a lifting height of 5m and operates under a work duty of A3 and uses a power source of 380V/50Hz/3Ph.
The 15-ton crane is a double-girder model, LH, with identical span and lifting height specifications, sharing the same power and control features.
The partnership between DGCrane and the Ethiopian client began in 2016, involving several project discussions over the years.
