Demag is ManSafe
22 July 2009ManSafe is a cable-based safety line that offers continuous protection for staff working at height. It uses 8mm diameter high-grade stainless steel cable, with a variety of anchor and energy absorption options.
Demag said the harnesses, which are attached by fail-safe locking hooks, are unobtrusive, flexible and lightweight. Up to four individuals can be supported by a single line for jobs where teams of operators are required to work together.
ManSafe is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, Demag said, and can be incorporated into new build projects or retrofitted to existing equipment. It can be used as a permanent installation for regular inspection and maintenance regimes or as a temporary fixture for one-off programmes.
